Is it safe?
Flying at Madrid Fly is completely safe. It is comparable to being in a swimming pool.
We have highly-trained and certified (by the Tunnel Instructor Organisation) instructors, who will guide and supervise you at all moments. This guarantees a safe environment for the enjoyment of your flight session. Your flight instructor will accompany you through your entire flight experience regardless of your level of experience.
How long is a flight?
The entire first-time flyer experience takes approximately 2 hours from start to finish. Often flyers might stay at the wind tunnel for a while longer, depending on if they want to watch other flyers or have something at the restaurant.
The actual time that a first timer is in the flight chamber is 60-75 seconds per flight. This is actually longer (almost twice the time) than a tandem freefall experience would be.
If you reserve a package that contains 2 flights, you will have 2 turns in the wind tunnel with an instructor lasting at least 60 seconds each.
Can i Make just One Flight?
No, the minimum amount of flights you can do is 2 flights per person, this is because the first flight is like a test for you of the position and the wind and the second one is when you can really enjoy.
How old do you have to be?
Minimum age is 5 years old.
Is there a weight restriction?
Maximum weight is 120kg.
What time should I get there?
First-time flyers should arrive at least an hour before the time you have booked to fly. That gives you the time necessary to check in, complete your waiver, attend the training session and change into your flight gear. Return flyers should arrive about half an hour before your scheduled flight time.
It is recommended that you make a booking prior to arriving at the wind tunnel. Flight time is allocated on a first-come first-serve basis which means reservations will be attended first.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable casual clothes, trainers or running shoes.
You won’t have to change out of these clothes — you wear your flight suit over your clothes.
No loose items (watches, jewelry etc.) are allowed in the ante-chamber or flight chamber due to the possibility of them flying off. The facilities include lockers for storing personal items.
You may wear glasses as we have special goggles that fit over them, holding them in place.
What about my instructors?
All instructors working at Madrid Fly are fully qualified and certified by Tunnel Instructor.org which is the leading wind tunnel safety organization in Europe.
Will you provide videos and photos of my flight?
Yes, Madrid Fly has permanent video equipment installed around the flight chamber that will capture High Quality pictures and videos that will be available to you after your flight.
For safety reasons you are not allowed to bring inside the ante-chamber or the flight chamber any camera equipment, as it can fly off causing damage to the engines and/or harm to flyers.
Videos and photos are an extra that is not included in the regular flight price, unless otherwise specified.
You can buy video and photos from your flight at the reception, after your flight.
Video costs 15 €
Photo costs 5 €
Is there a viewing area of the tunnel?
Yes, you can enjoy in our BarFly while you watch the tunnel.
Why do I need to wear a flight suit?
Our instructors are trained to hold you from the grips on your flight suit should you need assistance.
Can I do tricks and flips in the tunnel?
Madrid Fly’s first concern is for your safety in the flight chamber so the tricks or flips are done by experienced flyers only. Some flyers are able to do turns, move up and down, forwards and backwards during their first flight.
Be sure to ask your instructor how to advance your flying skills.
What is a wind tunnel?
A wind tunnel is a machine that produces the column of air you float on in the flight chamber.
Visit Wind Tunnel for more information.
Do I need to make a reservation?
It is recommended that you make a booking prior to arriving at the Wind Tunnel. Flight time is allocated on a first-come first-serve basis which means reservations will be attended first.

What’s Fox in a Box?
Fox in a Box is a real-life themed escape room company where participants use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, look for clues and achieve their mission within 45 minutes.
Which is the objective of the room?
Mr. Fox is looking for the perfect heirs for his empire, so your mission at Mr. Fox’s Legacy is to rise to the challenge. In order to achieve that goal, you’ll have to solve the puzzles that this excentric millionaire has designed and escape from his study. If you reach your goal, you’ll become the chosen ones, the unparalleled heirs of Mr. Fox.
PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SESSIONS
In our room, Mr. Fox’s Legacy, the sessions are public, which means that you may play with other people that visit us at the same time until the room is full. However, if you don’t want to share your session, you can book the room to live the experience all by yourself.
How much does it cost?
You can see our price list by clicking HERE.
How many people can play at the same time?
The minimum number of players required is 2 players, while the maximum is 8 people. It’s important to remember that the maximum number of players cannot be exceeded due to safety reasons.
May I change the date of my booking?
Yes, of course. There’s no problem in changing the date of your booking on the condition that the change is made more than 72 hours before through our email: info@madridfly.com
May children play the room?
Of course they can! Kids must be between 5 and 12 years old and play accompanied by an adult. In the case you booked a private session for kids and no adult wants to go inside of the room, a Game Master will enter the room for the duration of the game to assist the kids throughout the game.
Kid’s birthdays
Sure! This is a perfect activity both for kids to have fun and to rack their brains. There’s also an option to include an afternoon snack. If you need more info, ask us!
When should we arrive?
It’s essential that you arrive at the exact time of your booking. It’s likely that another group has played the game just before you, so, if you get to our place too soon, you may hear some unwanted spoilers. However, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your game might not take place.
May we play in English?
At Fox in a Box, all games can be played in both English and Spanish. Once inside of the room, you may talk in your own language. However, for the initial speech (basic instructions) and for the interaction with our Game Masters during the game, you’ll need at least one person that can understand English or Spanish. However, it’s much better if everybody can understand the Game Master.
